    How ASV Works

    Traditional asphalt shingles and directly-applied metal panels absorb the sun's intense radiant heat, transferring it directly into your attic and living spaces. Above Sheathing Ventilation (ASV) breaks this thermal bridge.

    By utilizing a double-strapped system (vertical and horizontal battens), we create a continuous 1.5-inch air gap between the metal roofing panels and your roof deck. This continuous airflow naturally channels hot air from the eave to the ridge, venting it out before it ever reaches your home's interior.

    Thermal Buoyancy

    As air heats up under the metal panels, it naturally rises (thermal buoyancy). This draws cooler air in through the soffits and eaves, creating a continuous upward flow that exhausts hot air out the ridge vent.

    Moisture Control

    The continuous airflow prevents condensation from forming on the underside of the metal panels, keeping your roof deck completely dry and eliminating the risk of mold and rot.
